New Weezer single out… enjoy it now, before it gets killed.

If any of you have talked to me within the last 24 hours, you would have heard me stirring about the Weezer single “(If You Are Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To” that leaked out early sometime last week. I have been waiting since then to purchase the single via Amazon for a mere dollar. Finally on August 25th, 12:23AM, the song is now mine.

Ironically, this song is the anti-Weezer. It’s catchy, upbeat, progressively pop and most importantly, their most radio friendly song yet. Don’t get me wrong, I love the song, and if you we’re to check out my last.fm profile, you would probably see it has been played about 6 times since I got the MP3, not even an hour ago. But like many of my colleagues out there, I myself, have watched Weezer progress through the years, starting from their days as a pure alternative, almost indie foreground, to now, the familiar top 40 face of the alter-pop scene. I personally have yet to hear the song on the radio, but trust me, it will get there. Enjoy the single now, and be one of the few that can say, hey I enjoyed this song before it got killed, because, it is a sure thing.

The single is available on iTunes and Amazon right now, and Weezer’s seventh album titled “Raditude” will be due out October 27th.

I am still glad I listen to the radio very, very little. This is a very catchy tune.

Curse you, Danno, and your ability to find songs that I have to listen to over and over and over. And I agree, the radio is gonna face-rape this tune.
